The Captaincy Guesthouse at Sainte-Catherine in Brussels, your home away from home.

The magnificent house in which this cozy guesthouse/hostel is based was built in 1694 and hosted the

captaincy of the Brussels harbor in the 17th/18th century, before becoming the private estate of a

At the "Captain's house", guests benefit the settings of an historic estate, a vast, relaxing and quiet

place, right in the middle of the historic city center, within 5 minutes walk to the Grand Place, and

within direct connection the European Institutions and the major business centers (5 min by

squares are amongst the most typical places of the city. All other places of interest in the city are next

to us or within short walking distance: the main musea, the Grand Place with, of course, "Manneke

Pis", the Stock Exchange, the famous "Sablon"antiquarian's area, the covered Saint-Gery market

(now a great lounge and expo hall), the Saint-Hubertus Galleries, the Palace of Justice, etc.

Being on lines 2 and 5, you are within easy reach from the underground station Sainte-Catherine of all

major business, convention and expo sites like Brussels Expo on the Heysel , Tours & Taxi's, the

"Square" on the Mont des Arts, the Brussels universities, all the European Institutions and the
