The Bura Surfhouse is your home away from home in Lagos and has everything you need and more from a hostel. We have twin rooms and 4, 6 or 8 person dorms, all super clean and comfortable with all linen and towels included and free lockers to store your things. Hang out and socialise in our lounge, cool down in our pool or spend a lazy day chilling in a hammock in the garden. We have the most awesome staff and we're sure you'll feel right at home. Our hostel is located a ten minute walk from the centre of the Lagos old town so we are close to all the action but have a lot more space to chill out - did we mention the pool?

Breakfast is included in the cost and we have great kitchen facilities if you're making your own food, but don't forget to join us for BBQ's and 1 euro beers at sunset in our awesome roof terrace bar. You'll also not want to miss our Starlight Cinema nights - grab a beanbag and a beer for films under the stars!

If you want to get out and experience the surf, mountain biking, or any of the many other activities Lagos offers, we can make life easy and organise this all for you. Bura Surfhouse is also partners with Lagos' first stand up paddle (SUP) centre and we're sure you're gonna want to give it a go!

Directions

If you are getting a train or bus to Lagos, let us know your arrival details in advance and we'll come and collect you from the bus or train station, free of charge!

FLYING
Our nearest airport is FARO (FAO).

You can get a transfer straight from the airport to the hostel. Please get in touch for further info on airport transfers.

The cheaper but more time consuming way of getting to us from Faro airport is to take the regular city bus into Faro bus / train station, which takes 20 minutes and costs EUR1.95, followed by either the train or the bus to Lagos (see below).

Taxis from Faro airport to Faro bus or train station will cost about EUR10 and take about ten minutes.

TRAIN FROM FARO
The journey from Faro train station to Lagos takes just over 1.5 hours and costs EUR7.20. For more information on times and prices go to http://www.cp.pt.

BUS FROM FARO
The journey from Faro central bus station to Lagos takes just over 2 hours and costs EUR5.85. For more information, go to http://www.eva-bus.com.

TRAIN FROM LISBON
You're probably better off getting the bus which is quicker, cheaper and direct but if you'd rather get the train, you need to get the train from Lisbon to Tunes and change there for a train to Lagos (you'll only have to wait a few minutes). The total cost for both journeys is approx. EUR25 and takes between 3.5 and 4.5 hours. For more information on times and prices go to http://www.cp.pt.

BUS FROM LISBON
There are three different bus companies operating direct buses from Lisbon to Lagos. The journey takes between 3 and 4 hours and costs approx. EUR20. For more information, go to either http://www.eva-bus.com, http://www.renex.pt or http://www.rede-expressos.pt/ .

BUS FROM SEVILLE
The bus from Seville bus station to Lagos takes just over 4 hours and costs EUR21. For more information, go to http://www.eva-bus.com.

DRIVING
We have a heap of free parking around the hostel and we're very easy to find, just 5 minutes from the main A22 Lagos to Spain motorway. If you have GPS, our co-ordinates are 37.1004047,-8.6861621, and we are on Rua da Pedra Alcada in Lagos. (The parking is at the back of the hostel as you look at it from the main street).

If you are coming from the A22, take the main Lagos exit (also signposted to Lagos / Sagres / Vila do Bispo) and follow the road into Lagos from there. When you reach the first roundabout, take the second exit into Lagos and when you arrive at the second roundabout, take your fist exit and we're right there on your left hand side!

**WARNING!**
If your time is flexible and you are travelling around Portugal or Europe we'd highly recommend not pre-booking any onward travel from Lagos. You think you might like to stay here for three or four days? Double it. And then double it again! And then phone your folks and tell them that you PROMISE you'll be home for Christmas at least! The three most common lies told in Lagos: 1) I love you 2) Just one more beer 3) I'm leaving tomorrow!
