Description

The Waikiki beachside hostel is the largest locally owned and operated hostel in Hawaii since 2001. We pride ourselves on providing hotel type services in a casual fun backpacker environment. With over 150 beds to meet the needs of short term to long term stays, Hokondo managing company, focuses on delivering customer service and amenities offered. Our properties are located only a stroll away to world famous Waikiki Beach, shops, restaurants, nightlife, bus transportation and more.

Our hostel is unique in that we provide the best of both worlds; we provide hotel features with the intimacy and interaction typical of hostel travel. We act as a central hub for travelers to explore the islands whilst building lifetime connections, memories and experiences. Our friendly staff is here to serve you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, whether it is pointing you to a restaurant, giving you the local scoops, or helping you rent a car. We have free breakfast daily and nightly dinner chef specials for hostellers to gather in our open air lounge. Activities also range from free seasonal parties to live entertainment bands, movie nights, and ping pong tournaments.




* NOTE: You will be charged the total for your first nights stay at the time of booking to guarantee your reservation. If the card is declined we will not make a reservation. You must provide 48 hours notice to cancel for a refund. We require out of state ID and airline ticket showing travel leaving the island of Oahu to check in. Guests without a ticket will receive a full refund of their deposit and the reservation will be cancelled.

Directions

Directions from Airport:
Bus: Take #19 or #20 to Waikiki. Exit at Paoakalani stop. Then walk two blocks toward the beach and left on Lemon Road. Bus Fare is $2.50. Estimate time is 1- 1 hour(s).

Car: Take H-1 East to Waikiki. Exit at King St. (25A). and continue straight. At 2nd traffic light, turn right onto Kapahulu Blvd. (after Foodland). Drive one mile South towards the beach. Turn right on Lemon Road. Estimate time is 25 minutes.

Parking at Waikiki Beachside Hostel is $7 dollars per day.

Shuttle: Go to the baggage claim area. There you will find an array of transportation shuttle service companies that will be able to take you straight to our doorstep. Prices range about $10 dollars per person depending on time of day. Estimate time varies from 35-60 minutes.

Taxi: Go to the baggage claim area. Outside you will find Taxis for about $30-$40 dollars to get to the Hokondo Waikiki Beachside Destination. Estimate time is 25 minutes. We recommend taking taxi if there are a few in your group, otherwise for single travelers the shuttle bus is your best bet.
