Description

ABOUT US
We are a group of 3 friends from 3 different parts of the world who arrived to Romania and fell in love with the country. We decided to open a place for true travel lovers - open minded people who enjoy sharing their experiences, making friends, and having fun together. We hope the hostel we have created is not just a cheap bed but also a great place to be! That's why we have selected a mix of different places worth visiting - not only museums or tours but also cool bars and clubs, restaurants with good value, and secret sights only known to locals. We will make sure your time in Bucharest is filled with plenty of exciting options perfect for your individual taste.

ABOUT THE HOSTEL
Our capacity is only 24 beds, which means that you'll be treated like an individual, not just a drop in the ocean. Upon arrival, you'll get a free map explaining what, where, and how, as well as all the important info about the city. The hostel itself is set up to deliver everything a traveler needs - a big common area for hanging out and making friends, a big kitchen to prepare your favorite meals or cocktails, and big beds (90cm wide!) to have a comfortable sleep. We provide free wi-fi, guest computer, board games, free towels, free linens, free tea and coffee. And you'll never need to worry about security – not only do we have 24h reception and an electronic lock on the door, but we're also located directly across the street from the French embassy, meaning that there are plenty of guards keeping an eye on our entrance.

OUR LOCATION
We are located in the heart of Bucharest with walking distance to all main sights and easy access to public transportation. Our neighborhood is close to some of the coolest places in town and even has a 24h supermarket for those late-night munchies. The closest metro and bus stops are at PIATA ROMANA (a major transport hub about 2 minutes away, more info on our DIRECTIONS page).

OUR STAFF
You are in good hands with our outstanding Romanian and international multilingual staff - Ruxa, Alina, Radu, Paul and Eli will make sure your time in Bucharest is well spent and that moving on to the next place by plane, train, or bus is as easy as possible.

Please be aware that guests under the age of 18 are not permitted except in group cases where the entire hostel is rented.

See you soon!

Directions

From the train station (7-12 minutes):

By bus: 79, 86 (on the left side of the train station) or 133 (across the street from the train statation), get off at 'Piata Romana' stop. Keep walking forwards, at the first small crossing you come across, turn right, on the 'Mendeleev' street, then at the first crossing turn right again on 'Biserica Amzei' street and go to number 22 (past Tonka bar, across the guard booth, which is in front of the French Embassy).

By Metro: from the 'Gara de nord' station one stop, to 'Piata Victoriei', change to the other line and go for one stop again, to 'Piata Romana'. From there, walk to the crossing, 1) cross the street on the opposite side ( left), 2) turn left at the next small crossing, 3) turn right at the next one, pass Tonka and get to the guard booth across the street from the hostel.

By taxi: a taxi ride to here is less than 10 lei.

From the airport (~40 minutes):

Express bus 783, which you catch in front of the airport and get off at 'Piata Romana' stop. Keep walking forwards, turn right at the next small crossing and walk straight until you pass Tonka bar and then find the guard booth, we are across the street.

Buses run from 5:00 till 23:00; the Express 783 runs non-stop, all night. You have to get the ticket from the booth, NOT on the bus. If you prefer a taxi - taxis are 1.40 lei/km, anything else is a rip off. The price from the airport is around 40 lei. You can get reliable taxis not in front of the airport but out in the parking lot, or out closer to the main street. You can find more information about taxis on our website, in case you need one.

LANDMARKS : the French Embassy, the Tonka bar.'Royal Canin' pet shop on our ground floor.

CHECK: the maps on our website (a bing map and a regular one).

N.B. For successfully reaching our location and to avoid getting lost and upset, please:

1. have the map with you (the map in the pictures section of the hostel);

2. have the exact address with you;

3. use the landmarks if you want to ask for directions.
