Description

The hostel is a 4-floor building located in a quiet neighborhood, in front of a park with beautiful trees. We have a huge rooftop where you can get a suntan in one of our beds or enjoy the evenings sharing with your friends and other guests. We also have a furnished kitchen with fridge and stove. There are two shared bathrooms in each floor and some of the rooms have their own private bathroom or sink. Each room has a fan and two big windows. We provide you with fresh linen, towels and toilet paper at no additional cost. Theres hot water (but you will not need that here...!) and a good Wi-Fi Internet signal 24 hours x day. We clean the toilets and the common areas each day. You will be provided with your rooms key and another one for the main door, so you can feel free to come and leave as you feel, there is no curfew.
Hostel Kankun is the cheapest place you will find around here, so dont expect luxury, this is a simple and a little bit old house and we like it this way! We have several long-term guests staying here and many friends who come back again each year. We are laid back and accommodating, and we will try our best to make you feel at home.

Directions

We are located right downtown Cancun, close to Yaxitlan Av., the main street, and to the Parque De las Palapas, a gorgeous spot where locals go in the evening for good and cheap food, music and several events. Our house is a 10 minutes walk from Mercado 23, where you can buy your groceries, fruits, fish, etc direct from the producers, or Mercado 28, a huge handicraft market. Also, only a 10 minutes walk to the Ado bus station.
Cancun city is a pretty big town and there are many things to do around. If you have time you can explore the streets, enjoy regular events, do some shopping, discover nightlife to suit your style and, of course, swim in some of the best beaches of the world.
If you want to go to the beach, the hotel zone, or the ruins Del Rey there are frequent buses (each 2-3 minutes) in Yaxitlan Av, and the ticket costs only 8, 5 pesos! Just a 15-30 minutes ride depending on where you want to stop.
